Salary: £24,961 per annum

Plus, additional shift allowances:

Do you have what it takes to be part of a professional security team?

Working to requirements of shift supervisor and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Ensuring performance management tasks are completed to the required standard.

Working effectively using own initiative when unsupervised.

Providing a proactive, professional and effective security service to all users of all facilities.

Liaising with site operational staff and Local Emergency Services to solve problems.

Role Responsibilities

·        Provide 24/7 security services to ensure safety of all personnel, visitors, and assets on site.

·        Monitor and operate security systems including VSS, alarms, emergency phones, and International SOS.

·        Control access and verify identities of all persons and vehicles using the AACS system.

·        Conduct regular patrols to deter, detect, and report suspicious activity or security breaches.

·        Enforce security policies and procedures and promote a strong culture of safety and compliance.

·        Respond to emergencies and incidents such as fire, first aid, and intrusions, supporting emergency teams.

·        Carry out security checks and searches of vehicles and personnel in line with threat-level protocols.

·        Provide administrative and visitor support, including using IT systems and assisting with events and enquiries.

Essential shortlisting criteria

·        Full UK driving licence.

·        Valid first aid at work certificate, issued by an organisation whose training and qualifications are approved by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE); or be prepared to undergo such training.

·        NVQ2 in Security or SIA security guarding trained; or prepared to undergo such training.

·        Experience of dealing professionally and politely with members of the public.

·        Must be literate and numerate.

·        Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

·        Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (test at interview stage).

·        Experience of working in security (or police or military experience).
